Canyoning is an adrenaline filled adventure consisting of jumping from cliffs, abseiling over waterfalls, scrambling up and over rocks, swimming through pools & sliding down smooth flumes carved out by mother nature over thousands of years.
Scotland has become a Mecca for canyoning over the last 10 years and is full of fantastic venues for this exciting & developing adventure sport. So come along, put on your wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet & harness, hike up the hill side and jump on in with Active Highs!
Half Day Canyoning Trip £50 pp
The venue for our half day canyoning trip is situated approximately 30 miles from Fort William & 30 miles from Fort William so wherever you are staying in the Highlands our canyoning trip is very accessible for anyone. This trip is ideal for first timers or experienced canyoneers with some fantastic jumps, slides and an abseil over and under a 30 foot water fall.
The half day trip is extremely popular with stag parties and hen parties and great for stag or hen weekends witha differnce! We will meet at our centre to get suited up if you are based in or around Fort William or meet on location if you are coming from the Aviemore area.
For the 2013 season Active Highs will be running a longer and more comitting canyoning trip in Fort William down the Ben Nevis Canyon. This trip is more technical with more pitches of ropework required and some good slieds but best of all it drains from the north face of Ben Nevis.
Who Can Go Canyoning?
This activity is very popular activity for stag weekends, hen weekends, active families, youth groups and scouts & also with military groups for adventure training days. We have a minimum age of 12 years + for our half day canyoning trips and over 18′s for our Ben Nevis canyoning trip .

- Professional guding, wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet & harness are all included
- Please bring a pair of old trainers and swimwear
