What is Canyoning?
Canyoning in Scotland is one of the most fun, adventurous and exciting things that you can do on your trip to the Highlands & is a fast growing adrenaline filled adventure sport. The sport was was originally developed in Alpine areas of Europe and the canyon lands of America as a method of exploring deep watercourses, or river bed in a deep gorge. Canyoning trips normally involve using jumping techniques, rope work, abseiling over waterfalls, scrambling up and over rocks, swimming through pools & sliding down smooth flumes carved out by mother nature over thousands of years.

This activity is very popular activity for stag weekends, hen weekends, active families, youth groups and scouts & also with military groups for adventure training days. We have a minimum age of 12 years + for our half day canyoning trips and recommend that participants are over 16 or a fit tough teenager for our Ben Nevis Canyoning Trip or we are happy to take older teenagers on this trip if accompanied by a parent and they are strong, fit and capable of taking instructions.. We also offer gorge walking which have a minimum age of 8 years plus for families with younger children or younger school or youth groups.
